Scorfano Nero (Scorpaena Porcus)

Scorpaena Porcus  Black Scorpionfish is undoubtedly a champion of camouflage, and like all scorpions, it remains still and still on the sea floor almost to be touched. The scorpeniforms are essentially benthic fishes with a robust body and a large head, generally equipped with more or less poisonous dorsal and opercular spines. From this characteristic derives the name that means “scorpion shaped”.
In the video shot in south / west Sardinia, we can see how effectively it is difficult to see, in spite of the light of the torch, it remains motionless, trusting in its camouflage.
