This article and this video are dedicated to the Marine goldfisg (Chromis chromis), companion and guardian of our dives over 40 meters deep. This fish belonging to the Serranidae family (the same as the Mediterranean Brown Grouper) lives on coralligenous seabeds and begins to be present from 30 meters deep onwards. However, it can be found up to 200 meters and in our scuba dives it is practically omnipresent. Marine goldfish Anthias anthias Castagnola rossa intotheblue.it

It is a beautiful fish with bright colors ranging from red, to pink, to the yellow of its fins; together with the yellow sponges of the Verongia genus and the red gorgonian, it is the one that makes our underwater videos and photographs colorful.
In this dive we are exploring a rocky wall that varies from 41 to 49 meters deep, and then on the bottom reaches 50-52 meters deep. Visibility, as you can see, varies continuously due to the current and it is not always easy to orient yourself and have beautiful images. The light even at midday is variable depending on the conditions of the seabed and it is easy to get to a sudden darkness and a visibility of a few meters or a little more.
